PREVENT PRODUCTS, INC. was founded in 1986 by Dr. Mario Garcia, MD, FACP. As an internist and nursing home medical director he became aware of the high number of skin tears among patients with fragile skin. He was the first to invent the GERIGLOVE® Arm Protector, made out of core-spun cotton, to protect the patients from skin tear problems.

The success of the GERIGLOVE^® led to the creation of the GERILINE™ family of protective garments, all designed with the protection and comfort of the wearer in mind.

PREVENT PRODUCTS, INC. continues to focus on innovative products to help prevent skin tears, hip injuries, pressure ulcers and other injuries.
